Interactive Storytime Sessions
Celebrating the National Year of Storytelling — one magical tale at a time
Stories are at the heart of how children make sense of the world. They spark imagination, build language, strengthen early communication skills, and lay the foundations for future reading and writing. Most importantly, stories help children understand themselves — their feelings, their friendships, their questions, and their growing place in the world.
At Little Foxes, we’re passionate about nurturing a love of stories from the very beginning. That’s why, in honour of the National Year of Storytelling, we’re launching our brand‑new Interactive Storytime Sessions — monthly, playful, immersive experiences designed to bring books to life.
Created especially for 3–4 year olds, these sessions blend storytelling, movement, games and imaginative play to build early language and attention skills, support emotional understanding, connect stories to real‑life experiences, and nurture children’s confidence, curiosity and creativity.
February Session: The Colour Monster
This month, we’re exploring the much‑loved story The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas — a beautiful introduction to emotions and emotional literacy.
Through storytelling, colour‑based activities and playful exploration, children learn to identify and name their feelings, understand the different intensities of emotions, recognise that all feelings are normal, and practise expressing themselves in safe, creative ways.
It’s a powerful, gentle way to support children’s emotional wellbeing during Children’s Mental Health Week.
